Several KAKEland stormchasers reported funnel clouds and brief tornados near Hutchinson Saturday as a cold front triggered thunderstorms.

The first report of a tornado came from the Partridge area, near the intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 51. KAKEland storm chaser Bryce Kintigh spotted a small tornado six miles south of Hutchinson just before 4:30 p.m. The tornado did not cause any damage.

As the storm moved into the city of Hutchinson, a window was blown out of Wayne's Printing on S. Main St. Emergency Management officials report no other damage at this time.

The National Weather Service continued the tornado warning as the storm moved west of Hesston, but no confirmed tornado was spotted in that area.
