Snow started falling in Southwest Kansas early this morning, forcing many school districts to delay the start of classes.

Areas east of Wichita are reporting the heaviest snowfall. The towns of Rock and Douglass are reporting two inches of snow on the ground by 3 p.m. Ark City recorded 2 1/2 inches. Wichita reported 1.4 inches..
Besides the snow, winds could gust up to 40 mph, creating travel problems with visibilities of a mile or less.
Via Christi-St. Francis has seen 20 people with injuries related to the snow storm.
Wednesday's temperatures should climb to near 40.
