Severe weather created problems in isolated areas overnight across western Kansas.
The National Weather Service reports high powered winds blew over two semi trucks at about 10 p.m. near Lakin.
Closer to midnight, the storms spread to Liberal, where a 911 dispatcher said power was knocked out to about half the town for two hours. An estimated 81 mph wind gust was clocked a half hour earlier.
There was also some tree damage near Meade with estimated 75 mph wind gusts.
Meteorologist Blake Smith forecasts today will be cloudy with rain likely. Temperatures will fall into the 30's to 40's by the afternoon.
