Tonight we meet a 12-year-old with the very cool name of "Jazz." There is not one ounce of fear in this young man's face when he is asked to pick up a bull snake as part of a science lesson. Mesmerized by seemingly every word to come out of teacher Miss Joyce's mouth, you would probably guess Jazz's favorite subject in school is science.

But Jazz'' intelligence doesn't explain why he was able to get me and others not so mesmerized by reptiles, to spend thirty minutes sitting on the floor with him watching a lizard eat. This kid has charisma, and charm, and many friends. But Jazz would trade all of his friends and X-boxes in, for a family of his own.
