The AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium is a proud moment for the Kansas City Chiefs and the team's fans. Now the NFL and Air Force officials have announced another proud moment that will take place before the game.

KMBC reports a B-2 Stealth Bomber out of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri will participate in the flyover after the national anthem prior to Sunday's game.

"Continuing a lasting relationship with our community partners, the Kansas City Chiefs organization, the B-2 will kick off the game with a demonstration of precision air power," a spokesperson for Whiteman AFB said in a statement.

The flyover will be supported by Whiteman's maintenance airmen and a ground crew of pilots at the game.

"The B-2 is America’s premier strategic stealth bomber and one of the world’s most advanced aircraft," the statement said. "The 509th Bomb Wing continues a legacy of excellence as we celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs historic achievement in back to back playoff games."
