Chiefs fans who became part of touchdown celebration identified

Posted: Updated:

Kansas City Chiefs fans who lost their beers during a touchdown celebration were proud to be a small part of the party.

It happened late in the Chiefs' 51-31 win over Houston.    As the Chiefs players were celebrating a late touchdown, offensive lineman Eric Fisher grabbed two beers from fans in the front row,  slammed the beers together and poured them on his head.

On Twitter, Fisher said,  "I appreciate you all big time. I also appreciate the guy's beer I borrowed for one hell of a celebration."  Fisher asked for someone to identify the fans so he could pay them back with goodies.

The athletic.com identified the fans as Troy and Alex Thompson of Springfield, Missouri.   They've been season ticket holders since 1991.

Budweiser said they have "something special" for the fans.
