WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

A police chase in west Wichita has ended after the suspect's vehicle wrecked.

It happened just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Wichita police say officers attempted to stop a vehicle near 21st Street and Ridge Road for a "minor traffic violation." The vehicle then fled.

The chase continued north to 53rd Street, then to K96, on to Maize Road and eventually came to an end near 21st Street and Ridge where the chase initially began. WPD says spike strips were deployed during the chase but the suspects were able to avoid them.

An officer used "Tactical Vehicle Intervention" to disable the vehicle. Two suspects were immediately taken into custody and a third suspect was hospitalized with minor injuries.

KAKE news received video footage that showed a vehicle wrecked near a brick wall and a suspect being held at gunpoint by law enforcement.

No law enforcement officers were injured during the chase.

No other information has been released at this time.
