A well-known star of commercials for a Wichita area car dealer has been arrested on multiple drug charges.

Wichita police spokesperson Charley Davidson said 37-year-old Aaron Wirtz was booked Tuesday afternoon for possession of meth, heroin, narcotics, hallucinogenics and nonnarcotics, all with intent to sell, as well as unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers served a search warrant at Wirtz's home in the 200 block of North Summitlawn, north of Maple and Ridge, stemming from an ongoing narcotics operation.

“The search warrant was conducted in reference to information received on illegal drug sales at the home,” said Capt. Jeff Allen with the Wichita Police Department.

Inside the home, officers found a pound of meth, two ounces of heroin, narcotic pills, a mushroom grow operation, drug paraphernalia, and seized two handguns. Wirtz was arrested without incident and has since bonded out of jail.

Formal charges are pending.

“WPD will continue to diligently investigate illegal drugs and drug sales in Wichita and arrest those involved in these illegal activities," Capt. Allen said. "If you have information about illegal drugs, please contact Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or WPD special investigations section at 316-268-4171.”

Wirtz starred in commercials for Super Car Guys. The dealership says they haven't worked with Wirtz for several years.
