The Wichita Police Department has arrested a 25-year-old man in connection to a shooting that killed a 19-year-old woman last month.

Terrance Johnson was arrested and booked for first-degree murder on Tuesday. He's accused of fatally shooting 19-year-old Sonya Brown at the 511 Club located at 511 North West Street.

Officers responded to a shooting call at around 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 2nd at the 511 Club and found Brown suffering from a gunshot wound. She was sent to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators learned that a disturbance broke out between Johnson and another male customer inside the club. Johnson fired multiple shots, striking Brown who police believe was not the intended target.

Johnson was found and arrested last Wednesday in Warr Acres, Oklahoma and extradited to Wichita. He was booked into Sedgwick County Jail.
