WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police are still searching for the person who shot and killed two people in their hotel room early Thursday morning.

Officers and EMS responded at around 12:20 a.m. to a shooting at Hotel at WaterWalk near Kellogg and Main Street. Officer Charley Davidson said officers located 27-year-old George Kirksey and 22-year-old Alicia Roman in one of the rooms. They had been shot multiple times and died at the scene.

The investigation revealed the suspect entered the room and fired multiple times before running off, according to Capt. Brent Allred. Witnesses described him as a medium-build black male standing 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-10 and wearing dark clothing.

Police don't believe the suspect force entry into the hotel room. Capt. Allred said the victims were from Wichita and were staying at the hotel.

Investigators were checking the area for surveillance video.

The shooting isn't believed to be a random incident. Anyone with information is asked to call WPD detectives at (316) 268-4407, the See Something, Say Something hotline at (316) 519-2282 or Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
