Wichita police, troopers issue 55 tickets in 2 hours on East Kellogg

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

In another of the Wichita Police Department's traffic enforcements, officers and state troopers issued 55 tickets in two hours on East Kellogg. 

Thursday morning's assignment focused in the area of Kellogg and Washington, which Wichita police say is a high accident area. Of the 55 tickets issued, the majority were for speeding and texting while driving, the department said on Facebook.

The departments traffic section, Patrol South and the Kansas Highway Patrol conducted the enforcement. 

The last enforcement just over a week ago on East Kellogg resulted in 58 tickets being issued. Most were for speeding.
