CONCORDIA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents are serving several search warrants in connection with an investigation into the Cloud County Sheriff's Office.

Warrants were being served on homes in Concordia and the Cloud County Law Enforcement Center.

KBI spokesperson Melissa Underwood said the investigation began in June into allegations of criminal misconduct against sheriff's office employees.

Underwood said no arrests have been made,  but the serving of search warrants is a "significant development" in the case.
