Man killed, 2 others hurt in head-on crash in Harper County

HARPER, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say a 65-year-old man was killed and two other people injuries in a head-on crash in south-central Kansas. 

The accident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 160 about two miles east of Harper. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Paul Raberding was heading west when his car crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle. 

Raberding, of Harper, was taken to a hospital in Wellington where he was pronounced dead. The patrol's online crash log states he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The 52-year-old man driving the other vehicle his 70-yer-old female passenger were hospitalized with suspected serious injuries.
