Kansas man sentenced to 12 years for child sex crimes

ATWOOD, Kan. (KAKE) -

An Atwood man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for child sex crimes. 

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt says 41-year-old Kyle Frick pleaded guilty in October to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, one count of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of unlawful possession of a crontrolled substance for crimes that happened in January of 2019. 

On Tuesday, Frick was sentenced to 151 months in prison and is also subject to lifetime post-release supervision and sex offender registration.

    Officers have shut down part of eastbound Kellogg in downtown Wichita because of an injury accident. The accident happened around 3:45 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg, west of the Central Business District exit. One person has serious injuries. Eastbound traffic has been shut down at Seneca. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and it could be several hours before the area is reopened.
