Man dies after shooting in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police say a 31-year-old man who was found shot outside his southeast Wichita home on Tuesday has died. 

Wichita Police Department spokesperson Charley Davidson identified the victim as Robert Junior. 

Emergency crews responded at around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday to a call for EMS in the 8500 block of East Parkmont, near Pawnee and Rock Road. They arrived to find Junior with gunshot wounds to his body

Capt. Brent Allred said Junior's neighbor called 911 after finding him outside his home. Investigators do not believe the shooting was random.

Junior's death was Wichita's 32nd criminal homicide of 2019.
