Post office in Wichita extending hours for the holiday

Posted: Updated:
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

It's the most wonderful time of the year for the public and also the busiest for the employees at the post office. For that reason, they're going to be open in west Wichita every Sunday from now through Christmas to meet all of your holiday packaging needs.

For the last three years, the post office in Wichita has been open 7 days a week for the month of December. This year, the location on west Harry will serve the public from 10a.m. until 2p.m.

Supervisor Dawn Neece says she hopes that now that the public has discovered the post office is open Sundays during the holiday season, they will be able use this opening to their advantage. She reminds people to mail as early as they can.

"The post office would appreciate you mailing earlier, the sooner the better, so we can get everything delivered before December 25th," says Neece.
