HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 46-year-old middle school teacher who died in a weather-related crash last week will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

According to his obituary, Jory Konrade's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at CrossPoint Church in Hutchinson. Visitation is Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Konrade, a teacher and coach at Prairie Hills Middle School in Buhler, was on K-61 south of Hutchinson Friday morning when he lost control of his pickup and collided with a semi. He was reportedly on his way to school.

"He will be greatly missed," USD 313 Superintendent Mike Berblinger said. "He was a wonderful man. We pray for his family, our students and our staff."

A GoFundMe has raised more than $20,000 for Konrade's family. He was a teacher for 19 years and leaves behind a wife and four children.
