Accident shuts down turnpike near Towanda

BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. (KAKE) -

An accident shut down part of the Kansas Turnpike Tuesday night in Butler County.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday after a two-vehicle accident near the Towanda Service Area. The accident shut down all northbound traffic at the K-96 on-ramp.

A car was damaged and a tractor-trailer rolled over. At least two people have minor injuries.

It has since been reopened.
