Eastbound Kellogg reopened after injury accident
Officers have shut down part of eastbound Kellogg in downtown Wichita because of an injury accident. The accident happened around 3:45 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes of Kellogg, west of the Central Business District exit. One person has serious injuries. Eastbound traffic has been shut down at Seneca. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and it could be several hours before the area is reopened.
Kansas man found guilty of first degree murder
A Plainville man has been found guilty of murder. Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt says 37-year-old Alifonso Eduardo Garcia was found guilty of one count of first degree premeditated murder in connection to the death of Alexis D. Garcia in March 2018. The Rooks County Sheriff's Office, Plainville Police Department, and KBI investigated the case.
