Valley Center hit-and-run suspects captured
The Valley Center Police Department has taken two hit-and-run suspects into custody.
59-year-old Kenneth Pittsley and 37-year-old Julie Jones were wanted for warrants and traffic violations stemming from an incident near the Valley Center High School on Wednesday.
The duo allegedly walked away from a vehicle wreck near 93rd and Meridian and went to the high school office to make a phone call. After making the call, they never returned to the scene.
Pittsley and Jones were found at a home in Valley Center where they had been hiding.

The Valley Center Police Department is searching for two suspects who left the scene of a hit-and-run.
The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Valley Center High School. Police say 59-year-old Kenneth Pittsley and 37-year-old Julie Jones went to the school office to make a phone call to a relative after the accident but never returned to the scene.
Pittsley is 5'7", 270 lbs. with brown hair and Jones is 5'6" 140 lbs. They are from Arlington, KS and were last scene traveling north from Valley Center Cemetery.
They are wanted for traffic violations and arrest warrants.
