150 for 150 banquet to celebrate high school athletics announced

The City of Wichita is turning 150 next year and city leaders are hoping to bring together some of the best high school athletes in the history of the city.

League 42 in conjunction with Visit Wichita, The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, Wichita Athletics, and It Takes A Village Inc. are holding the 150 for 150 banquet next year.

The event is designed to bring together 150 of the best high school athletes in the Wichita area. Greats like Barry Sanders, Lynette Woodard, Jim Ryun, and Mike Pelfrey among others will be recognized.

It will be held at Charles Koch Arena on August 15, 2020.

Tickets go on sale in the spring of 2020.
