Camel, donkey, cow spotted roaming through Goddard neighborhood

GODDARD, Kan. (KAKE) -

A strange sight puzzled neighbors in Goddard on Sunday.

A camel, donkey, and cow were spotted going through a neighborhood. The Goddard Police Department's post pointed to the early sign of Christmas, saying the animals were headed "towards a Northern star."

“We may be halfway towards a live nativity this Christmas season,” the post said.

Amid the search, one poster inquired, "Are there 3 wise looking men near?" Another said, "who knows, they may lead you to the second coming."

The owner of the animals was later located. Sedgwick County Sheriff's Lt. Tim Meyers says the animals belonged to an employee of the nearby Tanganyika Wildlife Park.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
