WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wednesday was the Fall Signing Day, meaning high school athletes across the country put pen to paper and made their college choices official.

Over at Heights High School, Taylor Jameson signed her national letter of intent to go play basketball at George Mason.

"It means a lot to have an opportunity from any coach, but just the coach coming so far and having a lot of belief in me," said Jameson. "A lot of people have told me I wasn't able to, so having someone believe in me without even knowing what type of player I was, it really meant a lot to me."

Jameson was a big part of the Falcons' City League Title last year, and their run to to the 5A State Tournament.

Ken Palmer took over as the Heights girls basketball coach in 2016, and Jameson is the first player he's had go D-1.
