Wichita police say an 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a deadly shooting nearly three months ago.

Jail records show Pierce Jackson was booked for first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and being a fugitive from justice. It's the third arrest in the death of 33-year-old Jerome Armbeck on August 19.

Police spokesperson Charley Davidson said Jackson was arrested in Dallas, Texas, and transported to the Sedgwick County Jail on Tuesday.

The shooting happened in the 4600 block of East Boston. A Wichita police officer was attending a meeting in the area and responded to the call as well. Armbeck was found in an open field with multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Police previously arrested 20-year-old Marcus Lamar and a 17-year-old boy in the case.

Investigators say Armbeck was shot during a disturbance involving Jackson, Lamar and the teen. The shooting was drug-related.
