Trio caught on camera taking guitar

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Security cameras captured three men taking a guitar from a West Wichita store.

It happened last Wednesday around 4 p.m. at the Damm Music Center, at Central and Tyler.

"Somebody took advantage of us last week and stole a guitar. We'll carry on. It's not the end of the world, but it's not fun," said Kevin Damm, owner of Damm Music Center.

Video shows the three men inside the store for about 45 minutes.

"They acted like they were shopping. They asked us questions about the guitar and they asked us about the price and they were negotiating," said Damm.

When one of the employees is not looking, they walked out the door with the guitar.

Then, witnesses told Damm that the trio ran to a car in the parking lot.

The business lost a Martin HD-28, valued at over $3,000.

If you recognize these individuals, you can submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111.
