Multiple grass fires are happening right now in Cheyenne County, Kansas. The fires are so large that smoke plumes became visible on radar, and can be seen in this graphic posted online from the National Weather Service in Goodland. Smoke plumes are blowing toward the northeast. The NWS is asking people who live in Cheyenne and surrounding counties not to do any outside burning, as low relative humidity and winds have created a fire danger and prompted a red flag warning.
