Man arrested for deadly crash near Rose Hill

ROSE HILL, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man for a deadly crash near Rose Hill last year.

Jail records show Hunter Black was booked late Wednesday morning for involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence. He was held on $100,000 bond. 

The crash happened early on the morning of Thursday, December 20 at 143rd Street East and 79th Street South. The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office alleges black ran a stop sign and crashed into another car.

Black was hospitalized and the passenger, 24-year-old Logan Owens, died at the scene. 

The driver of the other vehicle refused treatment.
