The neighborhood and magnet schools around the city will be there in set up booths. the event is free for families to come in and get information from different schools, before making a decision for their child.

"It's great because it really provides a one stop shop for parents," Cindy Graves said, the principal of McLean Elementary. "They can come and talk with schools they can find out what happens at magnet schools and how they may be different from neighborhood schools and they can help parents make decisions on what their is to offer for their students."

The event runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Century II Exhibition Hall. This year the district will feature a new kindergarten booth, that will give out free books, have reading games and give parents the opportunity to have their questions answered if their child is about to start kindergarten.
