Mans steals Halloween decorations from Winfield home

Posted: Updated:
WINFIELD, Kan. (KAKE) -

Amanda Larue's yard is filled with Halloween decorations, but this week something is missing. On Sunday morning, a man came to Larue's home in Winfield and stole a projector from her front yard. She was sleeping, but it was all caught on camera

"It's kind of scary. It's definitely a feeling that you can't shake right away."

This isn't the first time her home was targeted. Some one stole a string of lights costing nearly a hundred dollars last august. "150 foot and they just took off with all of it. That's why we got cameras. Nothing expensive, but it's the thought. We work hard for what we have."

The mother of three runs a daycare from her home. She's not concerned for her safety because she knows her neighbors will keep an eye out.

"Watch out for your surrounding, be more aware, buy cameras for your home so we can catch the predators who are doing this." 35:00

Larue's boyfriend already replaced the old projector. "Next year i plan on decorating and we plan on going even bigger."

The Winfield Police Department asks if you have any information please call them at 620-221-7777.
