WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita police say they've arrested two 17-year-old boys for a shooting incident that damaged a home on the northwest side.

Officers responded shortly after midnight Monday to the 1600 block of North Robin, near 13th and Tyler. An 80-year-old woman who lives at the home told police she heard a loud noise and noticed damage to her garage door, a vehicle and inside the garage.

Officer Charley Davidson said the damage appeared to have been caused by a shotgun.

Through the investigation, police learned of the two teens' involvement and arrested them on Tuesday. Both were booked into juvenile detention for criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling, and one also faces an additional count of aggravated battery.

Officers also recovered a shotgun.

The 80-year-old woman and an 18-year-old woman who was also in the home were not hurt.

Davidson said the incident was not random but did not give additional details.
