WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Questions about a dog park and protecting plants are the subject of this week's On Your Side Gets Answers.

Gabriele in Haysville posted this comment on Facebook:

"Haysville needs a dog park."

We checked with the City of Haysville and learned there is a dog park in the works, and it's almost finished.

The dog park will be located at the Dorner Park Complex and will have drinking fountains, benches and dog toys.

The City is expecting to open the park by the end of October.

And after our own First Alert Weather team posted information about Thursday night's freeze warning, C.J. asked, "I guess I have to bring my plants in, huh?"

We checked with Stutzmans Greenhouse, and the experts there say for plants like mums, astors and pansies, you're fine to leave them outside.

It's the tropical plants and houseplants that need to come indoors.
