DODGE CITY, Kan. (KAKE) -

A 14-year-old Dodge City High School student has been arrested for threatening violence against the school.

In a Facebook post, Dodge City police said they received information about a possible threat Tuesday evening.  Police said the student made a threat to shoot up the high school and mentioned different weapons he would use.  The teen was found at his home and arrested without incident.  He faces a possible charge of felony criminal threat.

Dodge City police have made six arrests for school violence threats this year.  Officers want to remind parents to talk to their children, because police will continue to charge anyone who makes these types of threats.
