Wichita police arrest 2 teens for stealing laptops from Best Buy

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Police have arrested two people accused of stealing 19 laptops from a Best Buy in northeast Wichita. 

Officers responded at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday to an alarm at the Best Buy at 21st and Rock. They arrived to find that multiple Apple Macbooks were taken. 

Police spokesperson Charley Davidson said officers in the area saw a car with a passenger whose description matched that of a suspect. Officers attempted to stop the car, but it fled. 

The pursuit ended in the 4400 block of South Road and the two suspects were taken into custody. Officer recovered 19 laptops in their vehicle. 

Davon Crumity, 19, was booked for burglary and theft. A 17-year-old boy was booked into juvenile detention for burglary, flee and elude and traffic charges. Both are from Houston, Texas.
