Police search for suspect in NE Wichita bank robbery

WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

The Wichita Police Department is searching for a suspect involved in a Monday afternoon bank robbery in northeast Wichita. 

The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. Authorities say a black female suspect believed to be in her 20's walked into a Fidelity bank located near 21st Street and Rock Road.

The woman handed a note to the teller, indicating she had a gun and demanded money. The teller complied and handed an unknown amount of money over to the suspect. 

The suspect fled in a "possible black SUV." No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
