Wins for Kansas: River Rock Ranch

Just east of Udall is a 120-acre ranch helping at risk youth to find their way.

"We provide programs and opportunities to provide and inspire productive and independent life skills for the boys," says Maggie Morris.

Founded in 2001, Maggie Morris took her own experiences of living on the streets and finding hope in construction work, and created River Rock Ranch.

"Trying to see what inspired them to want to lean toward, plumbing, heat and air, you name it,” says Morris.

Now she brings in local business people to help the kids see different opportunities like plumbing, construction, and other job skills.

“They were exposed to a lot of businessmen. The builders here in Wichita, sheetrock guys, you name it."

Helping at risk youth find their way, and welcoming others who need guidance.

"The youth need has grown tremendously."

To help with their mission, KAKE TV and our partners DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers are honored to them as this week's, “Wins for Kansas.”
