Wichita police say they've arrested three people after a chase during which shots were fired at officers.

A news release from the Wichita Police Department says 29-year-old TJ McMahan was booked for two counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, felony flee and elude, criminal possession of a firearm, and drug and traffic charges.

Police also booked 52-year-old Robert Boots for failure to comply and 24-year-old Skyler Bazil-Lounsbury for three probation violations.

The release says officer attempted to stop a white Chevy pickup for a traffic infraction at around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday. McMahan, who was allegedly driving, refused to stop.

Police say McMahan fired two shots at officers during the pursuit, one near 1st and Spruce Street and the second near 1st and Estelle. No officers were hurt.

The chase continued south on Hillside and ended on Range Road after police used a tire-deflation device to flatten the pickup's tires. The three arrestees and a fourth person, a 25-year-old man, got out of the truck and ran into a neighborhood.

Officers set up a perimeter and used K9s, a drone and a Kansas Highway Patrol aircraft to find the three suspects. Police are still working to locate the 25-year-old man. His name was not released.

The release says officers found meth, marijuana, a gun magazine and live ammunition in the pickup. A handgun was also recovered.

Kansas Department of Corrections show McMahan is a Community Corrections absconder with prior convictions of theft, aggravated escape and identify theft.

Bazil-Lounsbury is also a Community Corrections absconder who has prior convictions of theft and drug possession.
