McPherson police investigate 2 school threats

McPHERSON, Kan. (KAKE) -

McPherson police are investigating two unrelated threats of violence toward the local high school in a matter of hours.

Police received the first report Thursday evening from USD 418 staff. A 15-year-old former student possibly threatened to commit violence at McPherson High. 

On Friday morning, the department got another report from a high school administrator about a current student threatening to commit violence. Officers took that 15-year-old student into custody for criminal threat. 

Police continue to investigate both reports

On Friday morning,  McPherson police received a report from high school administration concerning a 15-year-old student threatening to commit violence at the high school.  McPherson police has taken the student into custody for criminal threat.  Police continue to investigate both reports.
