United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he is 'focused' on his current role in the Trump Administration.

Secretary Pompeo made the comment in an interview with KAKE's Lily Wu Friday morning.

"I’m so focused on what I’m doing, Lily. I see the noise, I hear it. But, my mission set everyday is very clear. I intend to stay in this current role just as long as President Trump says, ‘I want you to be my most senior diplomat.’ That’s the mission that’s set. I came back to Kansas for this incredible privilege to give a lecture at K-State as part of the Landon Lecture Series, where amazing people, presidents, all kind of great leaders have had the opportunity to come, Gorbachev, had this opportunity to speak to K-Staters, people in this community. I’m really looking forward to it," said Pompeo.

Pompeo was in Manhattan to deliver the 190th Landon Lecture Series speech at Kansas State University.
