Authorities say a 29-year-old homeless woman found strangled and unconscious in a Hutchinson alley late last month has died.

The Hutchinson News reports Lora Beth Stratton had been on life support at a Wichita hospital since August 24. Police say she died Wednesday evening.

The Reno County DA's office on Thursday filed an amendment to charge 24-year-old Granville Ervin with premeditated first-degree murder. He's currently charged with attempted premeditated first-degree murder. A hearing will be held Friday morning.

A second suspect, 22-year-old Delshay Visonhaler is charged with aggravated battery and obstruction. The state has not filed a motion to amend her charges.

Stratton was found in an alley near West 7th Avenue. She and her Husband, Alex Stratton, met the couple online days earlier after responding to a Facebook ad to store their belongings.

Stratton reportedly was at the location in the alley for hours in the mud because it had rained the day before. One witness told police he saw two people carrying her in the alley.

According to the witness, she fell, and the witness asked if she was OK. The witness then told police the two people picked her up and carried her down the alley. Reports state she had bruises on her body but no gunshot or stab wounds.

Stratton's husband created a GoFundMe to help pay for expenses.
