Officer responded at around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday to the report of a strong-arm robbery at U.S. Gas near 25th and Hillside. Officer Charley Davidson said to teens, ages 15 and 16, were in the store earlier to buy some drinks and employees asked them to leave because they were loitering and no guardians were present.

He said the two teens returned to the convenience store, battered a 49-year-old employee and damaged property inside. The employee suffered minor injuries.

Officers located the two teens at Grove Park and took them into custody without incident.

Through the investigation, officers learned the pair had allegedly been involved in a burglary early that morning at the Westway Marketplace at 2445 South Seneca. Investigators learned another 16-year-old boy was involved. He was also located and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
