1st & 10 Preview: Andover Trojans

Andover enters the 2019 season with a lot to prove. The Trojans return a wealth of experience from a team who went 3-6 last year after a string of close losses.

Andover has plenty of weapons to make some noise in the AVCTL II.

Running back Peyton Henry and receiver Harper Jonas are back along with six other starters on offense.

The Trojans main focus this off season has been on finishing in the 4th quarter, which they say is one of the things holding them back from climbing up the conference ladder.

"We lost some really close games. I think five of our six losses were by seven points or less," said Andover head football coach Cade Armstrong. "When you get experience out there, kids that have been there and have done it and they know how to win. I think this group with their maturity and their leadership, I think this year if they can win those close games because just like you said AVCTL II might be one of the toughest overall leagues in the state."

Last years team I felt like we were younger and undersized," said Andover wide receiver Harper Jonas. "This year we're a lot more bigger we have upperclassmen and a lot more returning starters so we're really excited."
