K-State's Thompson thrilled with direction of offense

On an afternoon full of close calls and upsets, Kansas State took care of business with a dominating win in their season opener against Nicholls. 

The 'Cats scored 28 unanswered points to open the game and never looked back. 

Skylar Thompson led the balanced attack. He threw for 212 yards and 1 touchdown in his first game as the starter in Klieman's offense. 

"There's just a lot of hard work a lot of sacrifices that I've put into my daily life to go out and play the way I did today. Our team did as well. I feel like on all cylinders we were firing today. We were running the ball well. We were clicking in the passing game. We were efficient  in a lot of aspects. It was fun to play in. I had a lot of fun today and I think that's the best way to put it." 

K-State also had 5 different running backs score touchdowns against the Colonels. 

The Wildcats host Bowling Green on Saturday at 11 am.
