WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

Wichita fire crews have contained a building fire in southwest Wichita.

The call came in just before 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crews responded to a report of a building fire with heavy flames in the 2000 block of South Seneca.

The Wichita Fire Department says the fire started in the back of the Carniceria El Guero grocery store. The flames began spreading rapidly as open doors allowed for more oxygen to feed the fire and a second alarm was called for assistance.

There was a roof collapse involving the AC units but no injuries were reported.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
