SEDAN, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities in southeast Kansas say they have recovered $290,000 in stolen property and arrested three people.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office recovered the property on Friday and arrested Raymond Lane, Terry Mensch and Whitney Cook, all from Oklahoma. An exact location was not provided.

Sheriff Richard Newby says the property is from five thefts in Chautauqua County, "many more" from Montgomery County and numerous jurisdictions throughout Oklahoma.

"Deputies and officers from several surrounding agencies have been working together diligently on these cases for the last few weeks," Sheriff Newby said.

Lane, of Bristow, was arrested for burglary, interference with law enforcement, drug possession, theft and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Mensch and Cook, of Bartlesville, were each arrested for theft, burglary and possession of stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing.
