Missing Kansas woman found safe, Silver Alert cancelled

The KBI has cancelled the statewide silver alert for 67-year-old Lila Mertz. She has been found safe and is being reunited with her family.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for a missing 67-year-old woman. 

Overland Park police requested the alert for Lila Mertz of Kansas City, Kansas. Her family last spoke to her late last month and reported her missing on Friday. 

Mertz stands 5-foot-6, weighs 140 pounds and has blue eyes and gray hair. She lives in the 1600 block of North 63rd Place and drives a gold 2000 Toyota Camry with Kansas tag 423GCH.

Her car was last seen August 8 near 39th Street and Prospect in Kansas City, Missouri.
