MERIDEN, Kan. (KAKE) -

Authorities say two men have been killed and two others suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash in northeast Kansas.

The accident happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday on K-237 west of Perry Lake in Jefferson County. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the 43-year-old driver of a Chevy Silverado 2500 pickup failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times.

Two passengers died at the scene. The patrol identified them as 46-year-old Christopher Webb, of Topeka, and 21-year-old Luke Puccinelli, of Oskaloosa.

The driver and a 20-year-old passenger were hospitalized in Topeka.

The patrol's online crash log states the driver was the only person in the vehicle who was wearing a seat belt.
