4.1-magnitude earthquake shakes Reno County Sunday

A large earthquake rattled central Kansas early Sunday morning.
A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was reported around 3:45 a.m. southwest of Hutchinson. Dozens of people reported feeling the temblor, with a majority of the reports in Reno County, though some responses came from Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Minnesota, Illinois and Canada.

"It definitely woke us up, said Christopher Brown, of Hutchinson. Brown captured security camera footage outside his home, where you could see his car and house shaking. "No apparent damage but did we have items fall off the shelves. Funny thing my big bad dog seem a bit upset by the event."

Sunday's earthquake follows at least six earthquakes reported Friday and one Saturday in the same community. Some homes, schools and businesses reported damage Friday.
