WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -

City officials say the Kansas Wildlife Exhibit in Wichita is getting a new bobcat.

The city department of parts and recreation said on Facebook the new bobcat is coming from the Milford Nature Reservoir. The last bobcat at the exhibit, a beloved animal named Bobby, died earlier this year.

The Kansas Wildlife Exhibit is located at Central Riverside Park. Its new bobcat, who has yet to be named, was found last May after his mother had been hit and killed by a car.

"He’ll join all the animals at KWE which were orphaned or injured and deemed non-releasable," the Facebook post says. "What better place to house the new bobcat than where our beloved Bobby lived and played for nearly 21 years?"

The exhibit is currently raising two bobcat kittens and will be keeping one.

The city is taking name suggestions and it will be put to a vote next week.
