While other kids are enjoying the last days of summer vacation, a 12-year-old South Carolina boy is cutting grass to save money for college.

Jaylin Clyburn's single mother told the Fox station in Charlotte that her son would see his friends get new toys and clothes from their parents and that she just doesn't have that luxury.

Jaylin said he posted on Facebook that he was mowing lawns and that's when he began receiving comments and messages from people wanting their grass cut. He only charged $10 to $15 per lawn to get his business moving.

"My mom won't have to spend her money," Jaylin told WJZY. "And I'll just have my own money."

He's saved $100 so far. His mom says she couldn't be prouder.
