Oklahoma sanitation worker gives toy recycle truck to boy who greets him regularly

JENKS, Okla. (KAKE) -

An Oklahoma sanitation worker has picked up a unique friendship along his route.

Aaron Mitchell regularly sees a young boy along his route, according to Jenks city officials. The child would wait outside to greet the workers and trash truck "whether it was 30 degrees or 100 degrees." He would bring Mitchell water and snacks.

Mitchell became friends with the little guy and his family, KOCO reports. And last week, Mitchell gave the suburban Tulsa boy a new toy recycle truck.

“Thank you, Mr. Mitchell, and the whole crew from American Waste Control, for making this little boy’s day and keeping our community clean,” city officials said in a Facebook post.
